I condemn the Sultan Park terrorist attack. My sympathies are with the victims of this attack.
We should not accept any belief that permits and promotes killing, terrorism and violence.
Muslim or Christian or Jew or Buddhist or atheist, no human being's worth and dignity should be deemed different on the grounds of mere religious view so long as it is peaceful and tolerant.
I urge the public to protest peacefully against the attack and show the perpetrators of this attack that the overwhelming majority of Maldivians do not condone and do not tolerate terrorism -- or such jihadism.
